Space Kids
Donne fra le stelle,for its third edition, also thought of the youngest explorers with a program dedicated to them in collaboration with Gruppo Astrofili di Padova. Many observation activities will take place during the three days of the symposium.
The installation will be located in the center of Piazza del Sole e della Pace, a few steps from the CineTeatro Marconi, location of the event, and the Apollo Experience. Thanks to the equipment made available by Gruppo Astrofili di Padova, visitors will have the opportunity to observe the cosmos firsthand.

Another novelty of Donne fra le Stelle 2024 Forum is the Apollo Experience which will offer visitors the opportunity to feel immersed in space by being able to walk next to the historic Apollo 11.
The installation will take place in collaboration with Y-40 the Deep Joy in the square in front of CineTeatro Marconi, the location where the symposium will take place.
The Y-40 - The Deep Joy is the deepest swimming pool in Italy and the third in the world. Y-40 is located in Turri, a hamlet of Montegrotto Terme, in the province of Padua, and its name recalls the figure of the freediver in a vertical position and the maximum depth of the pool, which is approximately forty metres, precisely 42.15 m.
For the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, Y-40® The Deep Joy has built the life-size Lunar Excursion Module. Thanks to NASA projects, the 1:1 scale reproduction of the Apollo 11 LEM was immersed in the deepest pool in the world. Thanks to the partnership with Y-40, visitors will be able to immortalize themselves next to the historic spacecraft having the sensation of stepping on lunar soil. The area, specially fenced with barriers branded with the graphics of the event, will be covered with sand to best convey the idea of the "walk in space".
At the end of the route, guests will be able to take their own souvenir photo with the help of special photographic backdrops. A real sensorial experience which, also thanks to a completely suggestive lighting design, will leave visitors speechless.

- Telescopic observation of the night sky: thanks to the use of a 120 apochromatic refractor, a 150 reflector and a 6 inch catadrioptic, you will be able to admire details of the crescent Gibbous Moon, the gas giant Jupiter with its 4 brightest moons, some double stars and clusters stellar. Furthermore, an expert amateur astronomer equipped with a laser pointer will explain how to orient yourself in the sky with the naked eye and how to recognize some celestial constellations. In case of overcast skies, a video presentation of astronomical objects will be projected, commented by Dr. Guercio, expert of the deep sky
