The Project

“Donne fra le Stelle” was born in Calabria with the aim of illustrating the wonders of the cosmos to the general public through the voice of astronauts, astrophysicists, engineers, scientists and researchers. The project aims to make women protagonists by underlining their commitment and results in the scientific field, where the male presence is still prevalent. It is a symposium divided into three days, which sees the speakers talk about themselves and their professional activities, encouraged by Riccardo Mei, narrator of numerous Rai programs (Superquark, Kilimanjaro, Rai Storia, Freedom oltre il confine) and documentaries from National Geographic.

The event is completed with educational initiatives aimed at schools, observations of the sky, recreational activities and so on, always strictly with the nose in the air.
