Previous Editions

The first two editions of "Donne fra le Stelle" were held in the province of Cosenza; in 2021 in Fiumefreddo Bruzio, in 2022, in Amantea. The project took shape with the awarding of honorary citizenship by the Municipality of Fiumefreddo Bruzio to Carolyn Porco, associate professor at Berkeley University (head of mission responsible for images of the “Cassini Huygens” probe on Saturn), former senior researcher at the University of Colorado, and NASA consultant, whose family is originally from Fiumefreddo. The flagship was the "Space Adventure" exhibition at the US Space & Rocket Center, the space museum in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. The exhibition, dedicated to man's exploits in space, arrived in the small village on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria after a traveling tour between Denmark (Copenhagen), Israel (Tel Aviv), South Africa (Johannesburg), Poland (Warsaw) , Romania (Bucharest), Italy (Turin).
